The ideal candidate will have at least 7+ years of experience, demonstrate exceptional teamwork skills, and exhibit a strong commitment to meeting clients' needs.Duties:Manage insurance defense cases from inception to resolution, including conducting legal research and drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.Represent clients in court proceedings, including attending hearings, oral arguments, and trials.Conduct depositions of witnesses, experts, and parties involved in litigation.Negotiate settlements and communicate with clients to provide updates on case developments.Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation for clients and internal purposes.Collaborate with legal teams and other professionals to develop case strategies and ensure adequate representation.Requirements:At least 7+ years of experience practicing law, focusing on insurance defense.Strong litigation skills and demonstrated experience handling civil cases through trial.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a proactive and self-motivated approach.Current license to practice law in Texas; additional licensure in other states is a plus.Education and Certifications:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the State Bar of Texas or eligibility for admission by waiver.Prior experience or certification in insurance defense law is preferred.Skills:Proficiency in legal research and analysis.Effective negotiation skills.Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.Dedication to providing high-quality legal representation and excellent client service.Job Location: Austin, TXBenefits offered:401(k)Dental InsuranceHealth insuranceLife insuranceVision insurance With offices and a network of experts across the country in various major metropolitan areas allow this mid-sized defense law firm to provide the highest level of legal services.
