The Children's Medical Center, PA is a private, multi-site Pediatric practice located in the Upstate of South Carolina. We are a Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) and are committed to improving the health of our population and communities. Along with our team of Pediatricians, Physician Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners we offer lactation and mental health services to support our providers and communities.We are seeking a candidate comfortable with complex financial data to be a bookkeeper within a fast-paced pediatric medical practice. As the accounting specialist/bookkeeper, you will support day to day financial operations by accounting/bookkeeping tasks such as accounts payable, general ledger and bank reconciliations, financial analysis, month end closing, payroll entries, and financial reporting. This position will interact with internal and external employees, vendors, and other Stakeholders as required. Responsibilities Establishing different accounts Maintain records of financial transactions by posting and verifying Defining bookkeeping policies and procedures Develop and maintain systems to account for financial transactions Post, verify, and allocate transactions Reconcile entries to balance subsidiary accounts Maintain a balanced ledger Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements Assist in budget development and monitoring for variances from the projected budget AR/AP management Qualifications Associate's degree in accounting, finance or related discipline preferred Previous bookkeeping experience required Experience in a healthcare environment preferred Experience working with electronic accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar accounting systems Skills Accounting knowledge Microsoft Office and advanced Excel skills Developing standards Data Entry Confidentiality Attention to detail Cost accounting Location Greer, SC
